System Design, Layout, Planning

Designing a grain system is always a journey, whether we are doing a site addition, site overhaul/modernization, or total new build. Generally, it takes several rounds of design and review before we get to the final product. We start the process by listening to customers’ wants and needs, current operating system, and goals for the future. We want a clear set of guidelines and expectations to streamline the process. A fundamental difference in our process is collaboration in-house with our sales, design/quoting, and installation personnel, providing input from different angles. In our case, this brings several individuals with multiple decades of industry knowledge and experience together to design a system that is right for your operation.

Over the past few years, we have upgraded our 3D SolidWorks software to give us more accurate tolerances, and better turn-key design. Including grade change, foundation sizing and overall rise-over-run allows us to accurately design and quote you a system that functions to its best potential and provides streamlined construction with less issues during installation.

A cookie cutter grain system doesn’t work for everyone, we believe that most grain systems need to be custom tailored to fit the customer’s needs. We combine time proven solutions, with new ideas/designs, and quality equipment to put together a foolproof, intuitive system. Providing custom solutions and incorporating new equipment into your existing system is something we pride ourselves on. It requires thinking both inside and outside the box.

Our goal is always to design a system that meets the end user’s current needs, allows for efficient construction, integrates safe maintenance/service on equipment, and plans for future expandability. Your grain system is not only a profit center, but landmark on your farm and community. If designed properly it can save you critical days in the fall as crops are coming off, and help you become more profitable and efficient in your operation.

Building a grain system with Top Line Equipment gives you the hometown, friendly feel and reliability of working with local people that you know and trust. We have our own in-house design capabilities, millwrights, bin crew, cranes, telehandlers, and rigging equipment. We maintain quantity relationships with subcontractors and companies who can provide larger crane service, bin construction, excavating, concrete, and electrical. These relationships make it possible for us to accomplish projects big or small without sacrificing personal relationships, quality assurance, reliable construction, and future service on the system.
